Thinking about becoming a midwife?

Keele University School of Nursing and Midwifery will be holding an open
evening on 23rd September, from 5pm - 8 pm, when prospective applicants
can learn more about career opportunities within healthcare.

The event will be held at the Clinical Education Centre, City General
Hospital, off the A34.

The School is now recruiting for the January 09 and September 09
pre-registration programmes in nursing and operating department
practice.

Auditions for Snow White

First Family Entertainment are holding an audition to find dynamic new young stars to appear in our spectacular Christmas production of ‘Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs’ starring Stoke favourite Jonathan Wilkes as ‘Prince’ who will be joined by TV & stage star Claire Sweeney as ‘Wicked Queen’.

We are looking for two teams of ten girls to make up the Juvenile Chorus and two student dancers for this year’s pantomime.

The audition is taking place on Sunday 7^th September at 3.00pm at The Victoria Hall. The successful children will be chosen solely on dance ability. There is no age restriction though girls must be between 4ft and 5ft. The minimum height for the student dancers needs to be 5ft 4in. Previous dance experience is obviously helpful but not essential. No preparation is required, a routine will be taught by our Dance Co-ordinator on the day. Please wear dance shoes or trainers and comfortable clothing.

The show begins rehearsing 24th November 2008 and runs until 11th January 2009 and participants need to be available for this whole duration in order to audition.
